Atlantic City Electric Bill Savings
Atlantic City Electric customers are saving up to 22 percent on the supply portion of their electric bills by shopping for electricity prices in the competitive marketplace.
The Atlantic City Electric bill is divided into two sections: “Delivery Charges” and “Supply Charges”
On average delivery charges makeup 30 percent of the electric bill. These charges are regulated by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and charged by Atlantic City Electric who still acts as the regulated electric lines and wires company for most of southern New Jersey.
The supply charges include all portions of the deregulated electric rate. Residential electricity customers in the Atlantic City Electric territory will pay a rate of $0.1315 through the end of February 2011. The default rate for these electric consumers has averaged $0.1285 since October 2010.
